We've had a lovely couple of rest days in Cres, staying at a huge camping ground - but we took a room which turned out just perfect. The view from the balcony of the Adriatic was so nice.
The water is so clear!
Cres is a nice seaside town packed with tourists - mainly Slovenian, German and Italian. There would have been at least 1,000 people at the campground, but it was a lovely atmosphere with lots of young families. We finished dinner on the last night with some Germans who've been coming here for 40 years!
The ride out of Cres was uphill for the first 10km, then undulating. Quite a busy road - I can't understand where all these people are going!

Storm clouds brewing! |
A huge thunderstorm hit Zaga just before we arrived - uprooted trees etc, so we were incredibly lucky to avoid it.
Dermot has a problem with the rear quick release on his bike so we'll spend a couple of days in Zaga trying to get it fixed.
